Applying transforms question

Hey guys, i understand that applying transform works the same as freeze transform from Maya and Reset xform from 3dsmax but, what about “Dimensions”, that seems to be unchanged with the “Applying transform” does that affect the mesh when exporting fbx or obj? will that ever change to 1k on X,Y,Z on the Dimensions properties or it doesn’t matter? i’m asking cause i want to export 3d models created on blender to Unity 5, Unreal Engine 4, several texturing programs, marmoset toolbag and sketchfab. My concern is mostly because i don’t want to have tiny or huge 3d models when exporting.
