Great start. Good well as in proportions and construct.
Being the main focus object, it’s best to place it in the middle.
I know, a bit creativity. But you are using the halve of the available space …

“Well” done. Okay, excuse the pun. Seriously though, you did some good work here. I don’t mind the well to the side of the image, considering the rule of 3rds. I did the same thing with mine and I know the instructor did it with his as well. I really like the artistic license you took at the top of the well, making that row of stones larger.
