Adding Text?

I’ve looked through all the coming lectures and I’m not seeing where I might learn how to add text, 3D or otherwise. Is there a lecture that covers this?

I do not recall a part of the course with text, but it is straightforward.
Add menu, or Ctrl A, Text.
Use the panel pop up to align to view if required.
Go to edit mode, backspace away the ‘Text’ sample and type in what you want.
There are various parameters you can play with in the right hand Object data properties panel, green letter ‘a’. Including an extrude to 3d. Bevel including the new custom curve in 2.91.
Options to change fonts etc., all sorts. Just play with them, depends what your aim is.

Back to object mode and Object menu, ‘Convert to’ mesh whenever you choose, or not, if all done as wanted anyway.
You can then extrude the flat text up, and\or just treat it like any mesh object. Text meshes are rather messy, tris not quads, and there may be circumstances where you may want to remake the flat topology. If you are leaving it dead flat it should be no problem.
