A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse! (Knight)

My knights. I may have spent a little longer than 30 minutes on them!

Modelled using just what we have been taught so far, so lots of extruding, subdividing, pushing, pulling, loop cuts and creasing. Obviously sculpting would have been a preferable approach but I really enjoyed trying the various techniques to achieve what I wanted.

The material is a combination of two based on geometry pointiness, which I think works really nicely for these chess pieces. There are a couple of odd artefacts noticeable in the black piece I’ll try and work out. Credit to Jan van den Hemel’s excellent Blender Secrets YouTube channel for the technique.

Oh wow, this rocks! Knights are the hardest part of this section and you made them awesome! Great job!

Great knights, very stylish. Good use of pointiness ‘dirt’.
