3D Object isn't straight vertical

How do I get the 3D objects that I add to be straight vertical. They point towards the 3D viewport/screen (I’m not sure how to describe it at this point) each time. I just need when they get added to point veritcal so there is no rotation added to them off rip.

TLDR; Each of the poles (I believe that’s the right term) are pointed toward the viewport/screen. I need them to not be.

I’m guessing your adding axis has been changed. Ctrl+Comma or press F4->preferences or click Edit menu->Preferences. In Preferences click on Edit button on the left for edit options. Under Object->Add Object->change align to option to world which is the default.

When I look at your screendump, focusing on Susanne I see that your 3D cursor at the location of Suzanne! The place where an object will be inserted.

Use shift c to move the 3D cursor on the center (0,0,0).
Add a object and press gy to move the object along the y-ax. This is the basic behavior of Blender UI.

Other than What Dwayne has said There is always a default orientation even if set to ‘world’. One has to place them, then change the orientation to something different when needed.
